We have arranged a choice of two activities
exclusively for wedding guests who are already in the area.
Guests transport themselves to the canoe base in Pessac from
where they will be given life jackets etc and then taken up river
together by minibus and put into the water to paddle back
downstream to Pessac where they can buy an ice cream at
the end. This is easy, relaxed and great fun. Cost 20 euros,
payable on the day.
For the active among you, a two hour canoe descent from Pessac
Sur Dordogne, followed by a cycle ride back along the river. Cost

Discovering St Emilion
A private tour of Chateau Franc Mayne, Grand Cru Classé
chateau in St Emilion with its amazing underground caves and
a tasting of two vintages followed by lunch in the heart of the village
and in the afternoon a private tour of the catacombs and
monolithic church which is carved out of the limestone plateau.

As all the guests will be in the area the night before
the wedding we have arranged an informal meal
at the local riverside spot, La Table Rouge.
It’s a pretty bistro style restaurant where they have
proposed a special rustic family style menu to
include wine. The cost is €35 per head (€15 for
children under 12) and must be booked in
advance via the guest pdf we sent out.
La Table Rouge is on the south bank of the river
Dordogne between Castillon La Bataille and
Flaujagues, after leaving Castillon by the
stone bridge take the first left and just follow the road.
Parking is on the riverbank.
Please aim to arrive at 7.30pm.
Dress code is Shack chic.
